Kimberlea Timm - Christian Education Director, christianeddir@petoskeypres.org

I was born in Petoskey, MI in 1974.  I was baptized and raised in Petoskey Presbyterian Church.  After I graduated from Petoskey High School, I went to Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.  I majored in English and earned my teaching degree in Elementary Education.

I met my future husband, Jerry Timm, while attending LSSU.  We were married at Petoskey Presbyterian Church on July 19, 1997.  After we both graduated LSSU, we moved to Waterford, MI for Jerry's job.  I taught kindergarten and first grade the first two years we were there.  After that, I substitute taught for one year while I was pregnant with our first child, Louise.  After Louise was born, I became a stay-at-home mom.  In 2003, we moved back to Petoskey.  Shortly after moving, we found out we were expecting our second child.  Avery was born in February, 2004.

I started working as the Christian Education Director in January, 2007.  I really enjoy being able to help bring the families of our church together for fellowship times.

Emily Stratton - Administrative Assistant, office@petoskeypres.org

I have come full circle. As a baby, I was baptized in this church. As an active youth, I taught Sunday School in my junior and senior year of high school. Upon graduation, I fulfilled my dream of becoming a flight attendant and flew for nearly two years before getting married. Rev. Lloyd Brasure married us in this sanctuary. I lived in Brighton, Michigan, following the wedding, joining the First Presbyterian Church there, was an active member, and once again teaching Sunday School. After a few years, we moved to Walnut Creek, California. There I joined a large spirit-filled Presbyterian Church and truly felt born again. The Sunday School class I lead had an average of 35 to 40 four and five-year olds each Sunday. This church saw me through some very difficult times. They stood hand-in-hand with me and my two children throughout a long divorce. Instead of making me feel guilty, they immersed my family with love. This brought us back to Michigan and back to the church were I grew up. Little did I ever guess I would end up working here. As it was, I had two job opportunities at the same time, and I humble asked God where He wanted me. I was hired on July 19, 1989 and have been here since then. I guess all along God truly had a plan for me. This is an extension of my family that has seen me through many good and difficult times. I have been blessed and continue to be.

My family consists of my daughter, Carrie, who lives in Bloomington, Indiana, with her husband John and their two children, Emily and Jacob. My son, Charlie, lives in Boyne City with his wife Julie and my latest grandson, Will. My one and only brother, Tom Washburne and wonder wife Betty, live in the house I grew up in on Michigan Street, where they raised their five children.

What a wonderful circle of love!
