Manna Project

Manna Food Project

Organized in 1987, The Manna Food Project is a private 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation, comprising a food bank and food pantry.  Our goal is to assure that not one person in our distribution area is hungry.  As a warehouse, we distribute to pantries in Emmet, Charlevoix, and Antrim Counties.  Visitors to those pantries receive food products at no charge.  We operate through financial contributions from individuals, organizations, grants, United Way, and the volunteer efforts of many people. Our warehouse and offices are located between Petoskey and Harbor Springs, Michigan.

Our congregation suppports Manna annually through the Deacon's Ministry and through our annual Souper Bowl of Caring event, in conjunction with the Super Bowl.  The 2010 Souper Bowl event saw $232 raised through a friendly competition.  Six soups were served and the voting, by dollars, determined the winners.  The real winner was Manna Food Project.
