As a Church we have a Defining Vision, or Mission Statement:

• Reaching upward – to receive the free gift of God's salvation and the outpouring of His spiritual blessings.  [Romans 6:23, Ephesians 1:3]
• Growing inward – in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  [2 Peter 3:18]
• Sending outward – the messenger, with the message of reconciliation with God.  [2 Corinthians 5:18-19]

It is the third principle, sending outward, that the Missions Committee would like to draw your attention to. 

Before His dramatic ascent into heaven, Jesus clarified the immediate mission of the Church.  The Church, by the power of the Holy Spirit, would be His witnesses, in Jerusalem, and in the region, and to the ends of the earth.  [Acts 1:8]
