July 29th Pastor’s Pen
It seems as though summer has arrived to Petoskey, so as I mentioned on Sunday during worship, it must mean that winter will be here in two weeks. I’ve heard again and again that there are two seasons here, winter and road construction. With Hwy 31 construction finishing up I’m hoping it doesn’t mean that snow will be here anytime soon.
With the changing of the seasons it does mean that school will soon be starting up and our fall church schedule will soon be here. September 13th will be our kickoff to the fall and we have lots of new plans in the work. An adult Sunday Education class will be starting on Sept 13th from 11:00-11:45a in the sanctuary and our children and youth, from infants up through high school, will be having their own education time after the service. We also are all going to be reading a book together and will be forming new small groups that will meet in the fall until Advent. Be on the look out for ways to get involved and meet some new folks in the coming week.
This Week
Prepare yourself for a little different worship service as we examine the Lord’s Supper from three individuals that were there. We will also celebrate at the table and praise God together. We hope you can join us.
Worship on the Bay will be here soon, August 16th!!!  Attached to this email is a document that you can fill out and get back to the church or Amy Gillard for lunch that day. I am excited to be able to participate in the worship service and experience the joy I have heard surrounding this amazing service.
Kim Timm is recruiting for Sunday School teachers and we are hoping that we can have more men involved in teaching all the young boys in our congregation. Please let Kim know if you would like to help out and if she asks for your help, please respond with a hearty, “I would love to help!”
Together we serve,
Pastor Ryan
